           He wasn’t exactly p l e a s e d with thanking an assassin, but she’d helped him. He was moderately grateful, at least.

{ & } —— She stood next to him as he spoke, releasing her grasp
when she was sure he would not tumble like a newborn fawn. "Right
—of course it isn't," she said, throwing her arms up in defeat. He
thanked her, but her void-like eyes simply stared for a moment
before they flickered to look in another direction. "Yes, well—" the
elf folded her arms.

"Just don't do something so stupid again. You might be Dragonborn,"
she mused, looking at him again, "but you are not invincible—mortal,
just as I am." The Bosmer's lanky figured moved to pace tween the
same two foot space for a few minutes. "From the looks of it, I'd say
we are closest to Windhelm," she guessed. So much for her contract..
A glossy black gaze ventured to the smashed and crumpled body of
an Imperial beside the giant.

Now they were miles away from civilization.

Nearby, the silhouette of a crumbling ruin caught her eye. The day
was growing dark, and soon they'd be without light. They needed
somewhere to stay, at least until the morning. Eyes like the abyss
made contact with his oceans of blue. There was pause in her, an air
of uncertainty. Could she even trust him? He was rude, outspoken,
loud, vulgar, and without much care for others, as it seemed. But the
dangers of Skyrim posed far too much a threat than he did.

"We'll have to camp, Dovahkiin."
